COLOUR BLOCKING PASTELS

Join Friend in Fashion on: BLOGLOVIN ~ FACEBOOK ~ PINTEREST ~ TWITTER

Dear friends,

From Louis Vuitton to 3.1 Phillip Lim, to Prada, pastels and lady-like tailoring have featured heavily on catwalks.

Here is my take on the trend, experimenting by colour blocking pastel hues, as well as texture in these gorgeous THIMBLE shorts.

There is something eternally feminine about pastels, so I'm happy to see more and more designers picking them up.

I'm wearing:
TOMMY HILFIGER button up shirt
STYLESTALKER blazer
THIMBLE waisted shorts
TONY BIANCO sandals
MINKPINK shades

Luv,

Kareena Kapoor Beautiful Prom Dress Designs - Fashion Trends

Kareena hair and makeup so cute together with the color of the dress. Coordinated brownish orange blush and lipstick put a lot of warmth and glow to the face. The blush looks tad exaggerated, but it suits her, especially on the runway. Eyes and eyebrows look beautiful manners, and the overall look is very nice, modern and stylish. Skin looks luminous gently without obvious shimmer.

Sexy, dominant, provocative and mysterious are just a few words that come to mind while looking through the table Elle lingerie collection. Each piece looks like the perfect marriage of scandalous and luxurious.

Table Affairs issued a collection of lingerie that makes women look more sexy. This collection celebrates the female figure and defines the words sexy, bold and exudes feminine strength. Lingerie made of quality materials, soft and comfortable to wear. Besides lingerie can also make up the sex appeal to your spouse.

While Britney Spears shed light on the fire when she was carrying her unmentionables "Circus Tour", it was the way to Alexandra Popa and Javier Suarez was finally able to create a kind of "spanx" that looked more like sensual lingerie than a belt - while still performing the same function. Table Elle is not fancy as other high-end lingerie brands. It is a niche and unusual concept in women's intimate wear. It is not mixed with flowers and fancy finish rather general effect brings the confident, dominant goddess in every woman.

The British lingerie brand Elle table presents his winter 2011 collection, and as usual it is just as charming as spicy. Designers Alexandra Popa and Javier Suarez dry all the quirks, creating pieces of highly sophisticated and dramatic, sensual.

DIY dream

I was asked by one of my readers the other day if I like to DIY when it comes to fashion and the resounding answer was YES!

I absolutely love to customise my style as much as possible, from simply changing over buttons, to reconstructing an oversized vintage bargain.

This is one of my favourite DIY outfits. I absolutely fell in love with the print of this (what was oversized) vintage dress, so I brought in the seams and customised the hem-line.

Inspired by this fabulous Louboutin DIY, courtesy of the wonderful ...love Megan, I also had a field day DIY(ing) these Target stilettos and finally, the belt, a left-over piece of chiffon.

I love a good sale, and it’s made even better when the proceeds go to charity.

On Friday, I picked up this oversized, mens silk shirt from a charity flea market, hosted by my fiancĂ©’s work, along with a treasure trove of other goodies.

I’m off to Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday and I am really looking forward to scouring the Ben Than markets for some great accessories, shoes and handbags. The last time I visited, I walked away with some beautifully crafted leather handbags, so I’m more than excited about what I might find this time round.

Next post I’ll be announcing Friend in Fashion’s third fashion giveaway, so be sure to stay tuned. As a hint for those who can’t wait: Polyvorers will love this!

Shoes – Charlotte Russe
Vintage pendant - (Markets, Brooklyn New York)

Firstly I wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone who shared their travel hot-spots with me in my last post – Dreaming of a European Summer, – you guys are the best! You’ve given me some great advice, and even more places to add to my steadily growing itinerary.

From time to time I get asked questions about fashion, design, my travels, so I thought a good way to answer these would be in a video blog – my first Vlog? Blideo?

If you have any questions you’d like answered let me know [EMAIL, FACEBOOK, TWEET, FORMSPRING.ME], and I’ll be sure to include your questions too!

I’m wearing:
Pants – Lark & Wolff, Urban Outfitters (Miami)
Shirt – Kookai (Australia)
Oxfords – Urban Outfitters (New York)
Fedora – Jay Jays (Australia)

There is something about the look of neutrals against crisp white that gets me every time. Throw in a fedora and all of a sudden sipping mojitos just makes sense - have a great week guys!

X

P.S. To thank my gorgeous readers for their ongoing support, I’m working on a great fashion giveaway which I will be able to share with you in the next couple of weeks. This one is a beauty, so be sure to stay tuned.

I'm definitely starting to miss thrifting of late, but nonetheless, Vietnam has some brilliant shopping of its own. Sure there is plenty of your faux designer fashion, but if you know where to look you can pick up some gorgeous pieces at a fantastic price.

I picked up this pretty little number in a small, hidden boutique in the Old Quarter for around $15. I love the vintage feel of the print, and the cut is what you would expect from a piece 10 times the price.

This week I'm looking forward to catching up with a great friend of mine, who I've known since primary school. Although I'm having an amazing time travelling, its always nice to have friends and family visit - can't wait!

Another scorching week in Hanoi! I've basically lived in this swimsuit, spending most evenings cooling off pool-side.

Lately, i've found myself mixing prints more and more. As you can see from previous posts: here and here, I'm a huge fan of stripes, and what better than mixing stripes with pretty florals.

I'm really looking forward to spending time, further exploring Vietnam, with trips to Hoi An (a mecca for tailors and shoe-makers), Ha Long Bay, and Ho Chi Minh City coming up over the next few weeks. Would love any travel tips!

I reworked this gorgeous vintage dress which i picked up from a local thrift store for just $6 and am thrilled with the results. Vintage dresses are my fashion weakness and I adore the beautiful detail and craftsmanship in this piece, from the lace, to the gilded flower, to the tulle petticoat!

It's less than 3 weeks until I start the first leg of my overseas travels. My first stop - Santa Monica. I have two months to see the sights of North America, before heading off to Hong Kong, Vietnam and then Europe - I can't wait! Please keep sending through your amazing suggestions, I look forward to meeting up with as many bloggers on my travels as possible.

Now on to more important matters, the lucky winner of the Hayley Kate design is the beautiful
Diamonds and Champagne congratulations and thank you to everyone who entered.

Have a great week!
