Still a huge fan of the large, boxy silhouettes that have now been around for a couple of seasons. Magazines and online shops tend to call everything that's oversized the boyfriend-something. Though this enormous garment isn't something I would find in my boyfriends closet, I would rather like to call it the grandpa-coat. Got this tailored, heavy wool baby at a yard sale from a friend, it needed a few adjustments at the sleeves and shoulders for it to become somewhat wearable for me, but I still love how gigantic it has remained.

W E A R I N G / Essentials
in wearing
The sweatshirt, the T shirt, the buttoned up shirt. Possibilities of basics always excite me. Non colors black, white and grey are always appropriate, never boring, never outdated. And exactly what I picked from the new arrivals at of Dutch department store De Bijenkorf that I wanted to show you guys; a long tailored Filippa K shirt which I wore as a skirt, but specially this super cozy T by Alexander Wang sweatshirt, with double layered fabric, a fantastic fit and thick ribbed material that adds some depth and texture to an outfit. (This is me trying to sell it to myself and listing all the great things about it, huge chance I'm going back for it when autumn kicks in)

W E A R I N G / Muscle Tee
in wearing
Soon we will have to think about coats and umbrellas, gloves and beanies, scarves and thermal underwear. And how to pile it all on while not looking too homeless. In summer I spend a considerable shorter amount of time getting dressed in the morning (let alone the time wrapping and unwrapping oneself every time one goes outdoors). Like now; literally wearing only two pieces of clothing.
Channeling A.C. Slater with this muscle tee and cut off joggers. Added a chunky piece of jewelry to still somewhat balance out all the casualness.
In exactly 30 days, summer will be over. I'm still trying to get wrap my head around it, but watching the beautiful winter collections slowly dripping into stores helps alleviate the pain a bit.

W E A R I N G / Waterproof
in wearing
This is the first time in my life that I am feeling ready for some rain. Thank you PVC jacket! I wore this semi-clear frosted baby from UNIF and a pair of plastic clear jelly shoes during the thunderstorms (and water balloon wars) after a (very rare!) heat wave some time ago.
