Sunny days and pleated skirts

Sunday, February 24, 2013

Last weekend the sun was shining and London felt like a brighter, happier place. On Saturday I went to the Tate Modern and had a look around Borough Market. Both places were packed with people, a reminder that not everyone wastes away their winter weekends in the confines of their homes, wrapped in thick knits, drinking tea. Then Sunday, the sun rose yet again and this time I ventured to the local farmer's market, made up like some sort of parading bird with a fantastic array of feathers upon its head. But groceries were bought and on the way back I stopped in Nomad Books for a hot chocolate at their cafe. I recommend it highly but I'll post more about it later.

I like the outfit, the simple colours are nice and I like a touch of lace to add detail. I'm not so sure about the beehive and make up though, it feels like a bit much. Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I've been shy about taking photos and unhappy with the photos I've taken. Hopefully when Spring comes I'll feel more inspired to post more often. On a positive note, I get my favourite lens back soon!
