At the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
The Holocaust Memorial in Berlin is the most impressive and beautiful monument I've ever been to. The architect Peter Eisenman arranged almost 3000 concrete blocks in a way to create an uneasy, confusing atmosphere and the gigantic sculpture as a whole aims to represent a supposedly ordered system that has lost touch with human reason.
Underneath is an underground museum that holds the names of all known Jewish Holocaust victims and hosts an exposition where you can see their last postcards sent home, hear the stories of survivors and almost personally get to know the Jewish victims of the second world war.
