I found these great photos from last night's Advanced Style celebration at the Ace Hotel.Thanks to everyone who came, waited in line, and celebrated with us last night. The night exceeded all my expectations and I'm sorry to anyone who couldn't get in. We will have some more great photos and video to share in the upcoming weeks. I'm off to Milan for an ANCI shoe conference and blogger award event where I hope to see some great Advanced Style.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our Advanced Style/NOWNESS video a huge success. My goal is to inspire people to look at aging in a new light. I hope these videos help people get over their fears of getting older, and embrace the wisdom and strength that comes with age. I finally had the chance to meet the extraordinary Iris Apfel. Her approach to style is legendary in her incorporation of high and low,ethnic and vintage with contemporary trends, and idiosyncratic brand of humor.She is a true style icon who continues to inspire others to express themselves and enjoy life to the fullest. Iris told me that you don't have to spend a lot of money to be stylish, it is all in how you put things together. She is proof that putting an outfit together can be just as artful as painting a portrait. I hope you enjoy these two small clips and hopefully we will see more of Iris on Advanced Style.
