When I put on this outfit Josh said, "You look like you're going to go hiking in the Alps." I knew what he meant. Although this outfit would be entirely impractical for hiking, it does kind of look like something a woman from the 1940's would have worn at an Alpine ski lodge. ("Kind of" being the operative phrase there - I have a feeling women from the 1940's didn't embrace the dorkiness that is slouchy socks worn with tights, or blazers with sleeves that aren't long enough. But I bet they would have worn skirts like this one - and that may just be where the similarities end.)
